NEW 10.4 inch XGA TFT FROM SUNRISE FEATURES NLT

Latest NEC LVDS panel has NLT and anti-reflective coating for better daylight viewing

Dedicated NEC distributor Sunrise Electronics has just announced that it is now shipping a new daylight viewable version of its 10.4 inch XGA display from NEC Electronics. It is mechanically compatible with previous displays in the same screen size, allowing developers to enhance system performance or upgrade equipment without changing mechanical design.

Featuring NEC’s NLT** (transflective) technology, the new NL10276BC20-04C from NEC is a 10.4 inch panel with the industry standard XGA resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and can display 262,144 colours (6-bit). Input is via the industry standard 6-bit LVDS digital interface and response time is 55ms (Ton + Toff).

The NL10276BC20-04C has a wide viewing angle of 60º (side-side) 60º (up) and 45º (down). Two replaceable high efficiency cold-cathode fluorescent lamps are used for backlighting and give it a luminance of 300 candelas per metre squared (cd/m2). This panel has a contrast ratio of 300:1 which together with an antiglare surface makes it suitable for use under a wide range of ambient lighting conditions.

Operating over the temperature range of 0 to +60º C, these panels are suitable for a wide range of applications such as industrial PC, monitors in process control and display terminals for control or information systems.

A transflective display with both high transmissivity and high reflectivity delivers a high quality display under low light and bright light (outdoor) conditions and is known as NLT (Natural light technology).
