USB 2.0 |
|
Everyone has heard of USB - the standard way most PCs are connected to peripherals today. Old USB devices connect peripherals at 12 Mbps - more than enough for the average mouse, but keeping the fast modern printer/scanner or digital camera waiting, and the user too!
NEC has spearheaded the development of Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0) chips that now enable data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps – that’s 40 times faster than the classic USB. NEC’s offering includes chips for the PC end (host), a router (hub) or the peripheral end (function).
The first certified USB 2.0 silicon vendor, NEC currently has seven solutions - for more information on NEC’s USB 2.0 solutions, contact Will Gilbert, Sunrise Electronics Limited Tel: 01908 263999, Fax: 01908 263003 or click
